Smart roofs for the deck and patio have the ability to open and close, thus allowing full protection from the rain and sunlight.

The patio cover louvers can be opened and closed as needed, so you can choose between an open or closed roof.

The louvers can tilt open to an angle of 130 º and can tilt shut to 0 º. This is just like having a built-in roof. Naturally, any intermediate position can be maintained, allowing you to tune the shade light ratio to your liking at any time of day. This feature allows you to maximize the time sitting outdoors, under the patio cover, throughout the year.

Tip

The patio cover roof can be divided into two separate controlled sections. This way when you are having a barbecue, the roof louvers over the grill can remain open, letting the smoke out, while your guests can sit under the closed section enjoying both air and shade.

The angle of the roof louvers can be adjusted manually or by using a remote control.
Also the roof louvers are made from the highest quality recyclable aluminum making them a green roof or Eco-friendly roof. The aluminum metal roofs also require the least possible maintenance and can be easily cleaned with just soap and water.

Tips 2

Your louvered roof pergola has a few primary modes:

Solid roof – with this mode your louvered roof will be completely shut, and it will be like having a solid roof. This scenario is good for snow, rain, humidity, heavy winds, dust storms, etc. It safeguards your furniture, prevents the tracking of mud inside your home, protects your pets, children’s toys, as well as items like the barbecue and television.

Slightly open – in this mode your louvered pergola will be open to 10%. This mode will allow you 100% shade and ventilation. This mode should be used during hot sunny days. This mode will allow 100% shade no matter where the sun is while providing ventilation. This will give you a chimney effect and the ambience of being underneath a tree. Unlike solid roofs, this mode will allow breeze to flow and will help avoid a greenhouse effect giving you the option to eliminate unwanted ceiling fans.

Almost having no pergola – in this mode, your louvers will be open towards the sun and will allow natural heat and sunlight up to 98%. This mode can be used on cold sunny winter days when you would like the sun’s natural heat to warm up your French or Sliding doors, large windows or patio, unlike a typical pergola that can only provide shade which would make your home feel cold. This eco-friendly design will help enhance the comfort of your home with a well-lit warm ambience when desired.
